Challenge

The 1º Concurso Nacional de Cartazes de Brasília opened a national call to celebrate the capital's 54th anniversary and promote the poster as a form of cultural expression. Entries were open to any Brazilian or foreign designer, judged anonymously by a jury of design professionals and academics on concept, communication clarity, graphic quality, visual impact, creativity, and technical feasibility, with every submission required to work the phrase "Brasília 54 anos" into the design.

Solution

I designed a poster interpreting Brasília's anniversary within the strict production rules of the open call, including full-bleed artwork sized to the contest's exact print specifications, a reserved footer band for the eventual sponsor logos, and the mandatory "Brasília 54 anos" mark, all delivered as anonymized, unidentified files exactly as the anonymous-judging rules required.

Success

The poster was submitted into the national pool of entries judged for the 1º Concurso Nacional de Cartazes de Brasília, part of a broader body of self-directed poster work exploring Brazilian civic and cultural themes.
