Challenge

Many GoDaddy customers want to grow their business online but feel limited by their own skills and time. Rather than building a website, running marketing, or doing SEO themselves, they want to hand that work to a professional GoDaddy expert instead. Many of them have never hired anyone before, so they hesitate without seeing an expert's past work, credentials, and clear pricing first.

Solution

I designed the lead capture flow for GoDaddy Services, GoDaddy's "Done It For You" service that connects customers to a GoDaddy expert for website, marketing, and SEO services, running a wide range of experiments to improve it. I explored removing and adding input fields in the request modal, added examples of past expert work to build trust, and adapted the modal for different customer segments. I also added a photoshoot checkbox so customers could ask for professional photos, and tested new entry points into the flow, such as a GoDaddy Services link inside GoDaddy's marketing emails. Every change was validated with real customers through user testing before it shipped.

Success

  • Supported UX for GoDaddy Services, GoDaddy's "Done-For-You" marketing action system, contributing to a 57% quarter-over-quarter rise in conversions and a 224% year-over-year increase in leads.
  • The Full-Service request channel grew 22.2% from the month before.
  • Total leads for hiring a GoDaddy expert grew 1.9% from May to June.
