Challenge

The Goethe-Institut wanted to mark Alexander von Humboldt's 250th birthday with a year of events across Latin America and Germany, run by dozens of independent partners in over a dozen countries. The challenge was making it all feel like one project instead of a loose federation of local activities.

Solution

Building on the logo and main illustration from Gosto Studio, I built the campaign's editorial and creative system, including a shared content calendar distributed to every partner, a #Humboldt250 hashtag strategy, and recurring editorial sections that gave the project a consistent rhythm. I designed and produced communications for each major sub-project, from the Experimenta SUR artist residency to the Conexión Humboldt youth contest, including social content, press releases, and printed materials, and managed press relationships across the region.

Success

The campaign reached roughly 294,000 attendees across 437 events in 15 countries, with social and web channels reaching over 3.5 million people combined. The @Humboldt250 Instagram account grew from zero to over 6,100 followers, and the #Humboldt250 hashtag drew more than 1,000 posts and a combined reach of about 4 million people across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
